Diocletian's days

Traditional days of Diocletian starts on August 20th till August 24th. Split will be full of people in tunics and togas with olive wreaths around their heads.

Diocletian's Days will start 20th August opening is preformed to 21.00h, when the mayor Zeljko Kerum will hand over the city keys to the Emperor Diocletian and his wife Prisca.

Emperors and imperial suite will sit in an antique carriage and set off across the waterfront and across the city to the Peristyle. All the squares in the center and on the waterfront these days will perform acapella singers, street entertainers and then everyone will come to the closing gala dinner in the cellars of Diocletian's where Roman food specialties prepared Split famous chef Miro Bogdanovic.
