LA Times: Zlatni rat beach is spectacular

U.S. "Los Angeles Times named beach Zlatni rat in Bol BraČ on the list of 40 most beautiful and most unusual places in the world. By their estimation, Zlatni Rat is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

"For those who think that all beaches are equal (water, sand waves) better think again. Welcome to the "Golden Rat" , a spectacular beach on the Croatian coast.

It is known for its natural phenomenon, composed of white pebbles, whose peak due to winds and ocean currents is tilted to one side or another. They claim that this is the only beach in the world that vertically touches the shore.

Tourists say that they fastest turn their tan to a dark golden color there and that one of the beaches sides is always calm. Legend tells that there is a special happines stone in the form of a snail shell.

Zlatni rat has become not only a trademark to Bol but also a value symbol of Croatian tourism. This famous Bol beach is located on the covers of many tourist brochures. To its charms many tourists can not resist.

The island Brač is the closest island to the city of Split by whom is connected by ferries and speed boat taxi.
