Sightseeing the Vranjaca cave

Vranjača cave is located in the northwestern foothills of Mosor near the village Kotlenice.

The cave was proclaimed as a geomorphologic protected nature resort. Beautiful dripstone decorations certainly classify it in the most beautiful tourist decorated cave in Dalmatia.

The Vranjača surroundings are equipped with stone and wooden benches and tables, the pine forests and clean nature makes sightseeing Vranjače always attractive making it a reason for the visit of tourists and nature lovers to this picturesque area.

Vranjača cave consists of two halls, the first hall (no speleothem), which was known in the 19th century, and other rooms which was discovered by Stipe Punda in the year 1903. Because of beautiful speleothems, cave was qualified for tourist visits.
Some rooms are bluish green, and some of them are sprinkled with glittering crystals.

The total length of the cave is about 360 meters. The temperature inside the cave at any time of the year is always the same, 15 °C.

Vranjača Cave can be visited every day from 10 to 17 hours. The ticket for adults costs 30 kuna, and for children 20 kuna. Organized groups have a discount.
