Ice cream of Croatian Olive oil

The project "Croatia is a country of olive oil" was presented on Thursday at the Croatian Chamber of Economy in Zagreb. The aim of this project is to make the image of Croatia as a country of great olive oil, educate the population about the healing properties of olive oil and increase sales of our olive oil on the domestic and foreign markets.

The project In Split, will be held from 17 to 22 of May at Prokurative where it will present the best Croatian olive oil, and no less important are the technical and popular lectures and interactive workshops for children and adults that will bring the citizens of the diversity and importance of using olive oil.

Various possibilities of using olive oil Split will experience tasting: popcorn fried in olive oil, olive oil ice cream or cake in which the usual fat replaced with olive oil.

Breaking prejudices about the exclusive use of olive oil as a seasoning for vegetables and fish, the goal is to increase the consumption of olive oil that is currently in Croatia, about 2 liters per capita, while in some Mediterranean countries, moving up to 20 liters per capita.

After Split, events are moving all around the coast and in every city the emphasis will be just the local producers. Such events in the summer months provides additional value to the tourism offer and a unique opportunity for foreign guests to know the quality of Croatian oil.
